Robots that learn from a new form of artificial intelligent system was just featured on Stephen Hawking’s Brave New World. Called the iCub, this crazy new robot can learn from simple voice activated commands and continuously “gets better” at tasks and at learning new things, i.e. objects. In 20 years, it is predicted that robots can be in the home doing common tasks, learning from simply following and observing the owners.
Auto-trained robot slaves, sounds like sci-fi and would make a great story for anyone looking for ideas.
The recent advancements in artificial intelligences does not stop there Stephen Hawking’s Brave New World will feature more as the series continues.
If the iCub soon enters the home, there will be more time for humans to develop as a society. Like agriculture made the impossible possible so will the advancement of artificial intelligence, like the new iCub.
